Do you often catch yourself complaining? Somehow, nothing seems to work out for you. Even the postman is working against you, and no one seems to understand you. Does that sound like you?

In this performance-oriented society, many of us often feel overwhelmed by our daily obligations. The pressure to achieve more and more makes us believe that we are not good enough.

But there are ways to overcome these excessive demands and develop clear life goals and visions that fulfill us. Because then even the most mundane everyday tasks are easy to fulfill.

But what is the lower self?

The lower self, or ego, is a state of being in which we all lose ourselves from time to time. During this time, we let ourselves be guided by our fears, doubts, and insecurities. We basically just sit in the passenger seat and let things happen to us. We then often feel controlled by others, or guilty and ashamed of ourselves and our actions. We often get caught up in our negative thoughts and react overly emotionally to things that trigger us in any way. In this state, we rarely take responsibility, but rather maneuver ourselves into the victim position. Everything seems to be flawed. Typical questions that we can then observe in ourselves are: Why does this always happen to me? What if it goes wrong? I can´t do that anyway. I´m not good enough/lovable. Life is unfair. I never have enough… It´s your fault that…

What is the Higher Self?

The Higher Self is also a state of being in which we make conscious decisions that bring us to our goal. We act out of love and trust. We are connected to ourselves, our values , and our intuition, and go through our lives with joy and gratitude. We take responsibility for our thoughts, feelings, and actions and consciously put ourselves at the helm of the journey through our lives.

Typical thoughts here would be: What can I learn from this experience? I'll just give it a try. Everything happens for a reason. I am loved and protected. I am good the way I am. Life is always for me. Peace begins within me.

1. Recognize that you are overwhelmed.

The first thing you have to do is recognize that you are overwhelmed. Overwhelm can manifest itself in various ways:

- Constant exhaustion and tiredness

- Difficulty concentrating

- Feelings of frustration or irritability

- Doubts about your abilities and self-worth

Take a moment to breathe deeply and be honest with yourself: Recognize your pattern.

Do you often feel overwhelmed? In what situation?

How does this feeling manifest itself? What and where do you feel it?

What do you do when you feel overwhelmed?

How do you then talk to yourself?

How do you benefit from not having to make a decision now?

What do you not have to do as a result?

What is this behavior trying to protect you from?

If you notice that you are in your lower self, please do not devalue yourself for it! Instead, pat yourself on the back and be proud that you noticed it. Recognition is always the first step in the right direction. And it's not about just being in a good mood and falling into toxic positivity. It's about developing a healthy mindset that will keep you strong and full of energy throughout your life.

2. Identify your priorities.

One of the biggest problems with being overwhelmed is that we don't know where to start. Start by identifying your priorities. Ask yourself:

- What is really important to me?

- Which tasks are urgent and important, and which aren't? Can I perhaps delegate some of them or postpone them until later?

Make a list of your daily tasks and sort them by importance and urgency. This will help you gain clarity about what really matters. Take it step-by-step. A win is a win!

3. Set clear goals.

Gaining clarity about your life goals can help you feel less overwhelmed. Set clear, achievable goals for different areas of your life:

- Professional

- Personal

- Health

- Spiritual

How do you want to live? What kind of person do you want to be? What thoughts, feelings, and inner attitude does your Higher Self have?

What would you have to change to achieve this? Who can you become in order to live like this?

Write down these goals and create a plan for how you want to achieve them. This will give you a clear focus and help you direct your energy towards what is really important. Break each goal down into three more parts and take smaller but valuable steps towards your goal.

5. Make room for self-care.

I can't say it enough, self-care is not a luxury; it's a necessity. Schedule regular time for activities that bring you joy and relax you. Whether it's a walk in nature, a hot bath, or a meditation session - find out what makes you feel good and make it a regular part of your daily routine. What can you do to forget about the time around you? What gives you strength and energy? When are you happy?

6. Seek support.

It's important to realize that you don't have to do everything alone. Seek support from friends, family, or a coach. Sometimes it helps to talk to someone who can give you a new perspective. And some tasks can be solved much faster together than alone. Everything is better together!

7. Reflect regularly.

Take time regularly to reflect on your progress. Are you on the right track to achieve your goals? What worked well and what didn't? This reflection will help you make adjustments and continue to gain clarity about your life vision.

8. Overcome the fear of not being good enough.

One of the biggest fears many of us have is the fear of not being good enough. Remind yourself that no one is perfect. Everyone makes mistakes and has weaknesses. What matters is that you do your best and strive to constantly improve. We are all human.

Affirmations can help you boost your self-esteem:

"I am enough just the way I am."

"I deserve success and happiness."

"I am strong and capable."

Repeat these affirmations regularly to boost your self-confidence.

Feeling overwhelmed in everyday life is a common problem, but there are ways to deal with it. By identifying your priorities, setting clear goals, learning to say no, practicing self-care, seeking support, and reflecting regularly, you can gain clarity about your life goals and vision. Overcome the fear of not being good enough and remind yourself that you are on the right path. You are strong and capable and deserve to live a fulfilling and happy life.
